Scleroderma sp.
An exotic golden yellow species with a lobed appearance. The gleba (spore mass) is olivaceous at first, becoming grey. On maturity the fruiting body opens up to resemble an empty earthstar (Geastrum). Diam: 40–60 mm. They are mycorrhizal with tea tree and Eucalyptus

An exotic species mycorrhizal with pines and Eucalyptus. It has a stout stipe and a thin skin. Diam: about 35 mm.
Scleroderma citrinum Pers.
(Common earthball)
An exotic species found under introduced trees such as oak. The outer skin is tough. Diam: 30–40 mm. The dark material inside the cut specimen is the spore mass.
