The Corybas orchids are commonly known as "Spider Orchids".

Scroll down to see each of the Corybas species

Corybas acuminatus - flowers from September to December. The flower is quite easy to miss as its colour allows it to blend in well with mosses and leaves. Mainly insect pollinated. Prefers shady areas in the bush.

Corybas "Kaimai" - flowers October to November. Has a more rounded and brighter green leaf than C. acuminatus.
Corybas oblongus - also flowers October - November. Prefers damp shady areas.

Corybas trilobus - seems to flower earlier than the other Corybas in this area - August to September. The top petal forms a rounded "hat" on the flower.

These can be found in large groups, in mixed forest, alongside tracks. I have also found large clumps in grass in open remnants of bush where cattle are grazing.

As in all these Corybas here, the flower stem becomes much longer once seeds are set.
