| Entoloma aromaticum
I frequently find this one in late winter, growing on soil. The cap is striated (stripey) as in the photo below. E. aromaticum is quite small - cap diameter about 10-25mm. As its name suggests it has an odour (aroma??). I found these specimens in early December 2001, after warm wet weather. |

| Entoloma aromaticum f. minimum
As its name suggests - a small version of E. aromaticum. I found this one in the middle of summer in a shaded area of the bush - a suprise considering everything else seemed dry at the time. When I picked the specimens, I thought they could possibly be an Entoloma, and microscopic examination soon proved that was the case. |
