This is quite a variable moss. In open areas it can be quite yellowish, whereas in shaded areas it is more green.
It has paraphylla (leaf-like outgrowths) on the stem as shown in the third photo.
The leaf cells bear papilla as shown in the fourth photo.

|This image shows papilla (small projections) on the leaf cells. Since there appears to be more than one papilla on the cells, this species in the photo is probably either Thiudium laeviusculum or T. sparsum. (I need to rexamine the specimen and check some other features!)|
